Finally some wind during a real speed events! The last 3 years during official competition my goal was more to look for real planning during the 500 meters of a run than for doing it at full speed.
But in PSL, south of France, it was an other storie…The wind was blowing to 60 knots on the morning, I was looking for an old 4,5 in emergency but finaly during the race the wind was 35 knost max so it was perfect for my vapor 5,5 and manta 49.
It was a few square and on the pics it look terrible with the chop but in really it was ok and you can play with these small wave to have better speed.
I am pretty happy about my results with the best speed so far to the event and second place overall! The forecast for saturday look promissing, with maybie sail around 6 meters on side on shore wave! perfect for real action! let see what will happen…
